The C-Man

So, not only did our first baby have a birthday this month...our last baby also had one! Talk about making a momma feel old!

Our youngest is now 4 and that just makes me want to cry. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he is now more independent and is able to enjoy a lot of the same things that the older kids do. It's just so bittersweet to see your youngest turn 4. To me 4 is just a turning point. You've said good-bye to that toddler stage and you're moving ahead to the big boy point when they start school and want to do big kid things. Luckily, Connor is still very lovey and enjoys cuddles from time to time. I hope that never changes! He is certainly our love bug. He's the first to run up and give me a hug in the mornings and he is always offering kisses throughout the day. He's a charmer, that's for sure!
Connor (aka C-man in our house) is very friendly and outgoing. He'll talk to just about anyone, which is scary sometimes! He loves to try new things and is a definite magnet for danger! This child will climb anything, without fear. I can't even count the number of times in a day that he makes me gasp or grab my chest for fear of my heart stopping. There is never a dull moment with him around!

From day one Connor has always thought he could do anything that the older kids do. He'll prove it! I love that he is so willing to take on a new challenge and is excited about opportunities. I hope he keeps that enthusiasm as he grows up.

I think C-man will be our class clown. I fear that I'll get calls from the teacher one day soon saying that Connor was acting out in front of the class or trying to convince his classmates to do something really crazy. I hope I'm wrong on that one, but he is sure the entertainer of the family. He loves music and will dance to just about any tune. He plays the invisible drums on his knees while nodding his head to the beat. He's a riot!
Connor is proud to be 4 and can't wait to turn 5! (slow down little buddy!)

His favorite gifts were the many tools he got from his friends and family. He has been fixing everything in the house for weeks! He's been working hard on writing his name and practicing his numbers as well. We're so proud of the big boy he's becoming.

At one point we thought we were going to only have two children in our family. We considered stopping at that point. I felt in my heart that we were meant to have one more child. I'm so thankful that we were blessed with this bright and delightful child. What a way to complete our family.
