Praise Be To God...

It's been a long few months, but God has pulled us through this far! I've been dealing with several health issues and just hope we're nearing the end of the worst very soon. Only through prayer and support of family and friends have I been able to keep my head up. THANK YOU to all of you who have been there along the way. I couldn't have made it through without a good support system. My wonderful husband was there every day doing everything imaginable to make me feel better. I've been blessed with the most amazing best friend and husband I could have ever asked for. Thanks babe, I love you!!

I am reminded how easy it once was to take good health for granted. I know that there are so many around the world who struggle far more than I could ever imagine and deal with serious health issues on a daily basis. My heart and prayers go out to all who are suffering or who may have suffering family members. It's just as hard on the family to watch a loved one go through health issues. If you or a loved one are struggling right now, keep your head up and your faith high.

Here's hoping we'll all have a healthy remainder of 2009!!

Some of our creations...

Our sunflowers:
Our Beautiful Blue Bird Collage

Dr. Seuss Day!

Thanksgiving projects, I know I'm a little behind in sharing. : )

You know it's cold when...

1. Wife jumps into bed with socks, slippers, long pants, long sleeve shirt and possibly even a robe on. It's pretty attractive too, considering none of it matches!

2. Husband jumps into bed with t-shirt, sweatshirt and lounge pants on. Looking just as attractive as his wife.

3. There are icicles hanging off of the car wash wands.

4. The beautiful lambs ear plant in the flower bed is white, crispy and crunchy and looks beyond dead.

5. Even the vehicles parked in the garage are making creaky, whiny sounds as they warm up and drive off.

6. The snot running out of your child's nose freezes as they walk outside.

All of the above were inspired by the recent FRIGID temps here in Indiana. We're so excited to see the sun shining today and the temps closer to 40. It's a regular heat wave!!

Happy Holidays to all!! We had a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year as well! Can't wait to see what the year ahead will bring.

We're so thankful for all of our 2008 blessings. We have the most amazing group of family and friends! It was great spending time with so many of you over the holidays. Those who we weren't able to see were in our thoughts and hearts!

I am currently busy preparing our lessons and plans for the daycare for 2009. That's keeping me so busy that I don't have much time to post here. Hoping to catch up very soon!

Wishing you all the best!!

Thankful for so many things!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Since our families didn't plan anything for Thanksgiving day we decided to stay here in IN for the holiday. We invited some friends over for dinner. They also don't have family nearby, so it was a great opportunity to share our feast! It was great fun and wonderful food! We finished the day off with some movie watching and Wii playing! It was a really nice day!
We're so thankful for all of our dear friends, here and back home in IL and all of our family who we missed!

Our weekend was supposed to be spent in IL with family, but plans changed when our oldest kiddo came down ill. He has been fighting off a high fever all weekend, so we just hung out at home instead. It turned into a productive weekend, with dh and I working on some projects around the house.

I scored some good deals on Black Friday, amongst all of the crazies and managed to get a lot of our shopping done. We went and chose a Christmas tree and decorated it on Saturday. It looks lovely and is full of all of our favorite ornaments and so many memories. That's my favorite part of this time of year, looking back at the memories and talking about each ornament and where it came from. We have so many beautiful and meaningful things on our tree!

Today we're enjoying hanging out at home, smelling lasagna cooking and just spending time as a family. What a beautiful weekend we've had! Sending get well wishes to our little man and hoping that everyone else stays well!

I hope you all had a delightful holiday with loved ones and good food! We're so grateful for each of you!

May you have a blessed December!

We Honor You!

Sending out a prayer and thanks to all who serve our country, especially our dearest friends! Your families are so strong and we're so grateful for all that you do.

I know Veteran's Day isn't until Tuesday, but you all mean so much to us and we think of you throughout the year, not just on Veteran's Day!

THANK YOU!!
